Thia won’t go well. States will immediately ask the district court to block this if DOJ goes forward. I have no doubt the block injunction will be granted right away. This is unprecedent case.

If this gors to Supreme Court, this will certainly become a landmark ruling. For example the Commerce Clause has been argued so many times (which is supposed to be very much a Congress-only power) so if this is to argue on DOJ’s reach, this is an ugly narrow interpreation of the Consitution.

I think Session is nut. This opens up a blackhole for the federal government to overpower the states and by taking away states’ ability to resist.
