They didn't treat me poorly, The first sergeant would talk me up to the commander and other recruiters about how it's not fair that I have to go through this BS even though I'm smart and speak English well (reference my ASVAB score and the college I went to).

When I finish 2 mile runs, they would invite me over to join the sergeants to smoke some cigs (I'm a smoker) and shoot the shit. It helped that I always finished way earlier than everyone else.
