And again, our choice here is binary because it's a two party system. The only party who has helped immigrants in any way or stood up for them have been Democrats while it's the Republicans who have consistently called for reduction of legal immigration and to make life tougher for undocumented. Who passed the RealID? it was the Republicans. Who sued Obama to stop DAPA/Expanded DACA? Republicans. Who continues to pass "show me your paper" laws? Republicans.

Yeah, the Democrats could have done more at times but name one time in recent history they went out of their way to pass anti-immigration laws. I'll wait. The only thing I can think of is the 1995 laws passed but that was 21 years ago under a different climate.
Both parties are shit. End of story. One continues to come after you; the other just gives you lip service about helping but really doesn't do shit when it really needs to.

Instead of rejecting the framework altogether, Dems should at least try to engage the prick and gets things they want. After all, the only way to get shit done is by compromising, and rejecting the framework altogether via twitter without even trying to negotiate won't help anyone.
