Of course “chain migration” is a divisive issue! Family base sponsor ship wasn’t even part of the initial deal to try and fix DACA! Everyone in this forum forgets that a major change in the immigration law will affect EVERYONE including natural born US citizens. Don’t you realize that if this passes Trump and the anti-immigrant sector just traded off every citizens rights for a small portion of sympathetic “illegals”.

I know people tend to focus on themselves but this chain migration isn’t just about “oh no, now we can’t sponsor our undocumented parents” it’s also about the fact that millions of people whom are or will try to do it the legal( “right”) way will no longer have that choice! Why should all these legal citizen give up THEIR rights so that we, who did it “the wrong” way can get a path to citizenship.
