Why didn't they hold on to that fucking leverage until getting a bipartisan agreement that they could vote on and Trump could ratify?
This is the twilight zone of immigration policy. One party wants to deport and maybe offer to help in exchange for something. The other party wants to help but is not using its leverage when it needs to in order to make the other party come more to the middle.
I agree, the Democrats are the lesser of two evils, but for fucks sake, this is unacceptable. Do they plan to use leverage by March 23rd? I hope so. But, maybe not. This is so frustrating; if you want a more "liberal" agreement, use your fucking leverage. If you do not, then you will have Trump making all these fucking demands that you will not like. By then, you make yourself look bad as a spineless bitch and you leave us out in the dark. By then, you have to vote no.
JUST USE YOUR FUCKING LEVERAGE DURBIN. For fucks sake.

Trump even said he wanted to shut down the government over immigration meaning he was most likely willing to negotiate
