Due to the recent court decisions, Congress no longer has the pressure to deliver by March 5th... And this Congress can't get anything done without a hard deadline. It's like asking a bunch of 2 year olds to get their act together

There was an opportunity to pass a bipartisan bill in the Senate, but Trump and his right wing racist xenophobic hardliners torpedoed that deaal. They tried to use us to completely change our immigration system (even legal immigration). He was clearly negotiating in bad faith and the Democrats were not going to swallow that one.

This is such a contentious issue, I have come to the conclusion that you can only truly solve this issue with the same party in control of the White House and filibuster proof majorities in the Senate & the House.
