Different people have different situations. When I was in college there was no way I could have come up with 7 grand for example, so you can't just say there is something wrong with people who don't have this kind of money. Even today if I was detained, I would have to stop and think about it as I would rather spend this money in immigrating to another country than delay a deportation.
