I could possibly be eligible to file my paperwork for a sibling petition by the end of the year, though the actual priority date is still another 2 years behind and I'm really not sure if it's the best time to go forward with it. By the way, getting arrested during your interview when you have an order on your record has always been a possibility. I've been told for decades that "Why can't you just find anybody to marry for a couple of years?? You don't have to really love them." Being a horrible person to do that aside, for people like us, the shit might and likely will hit the fan so you better damn well make sure your marriage is real and your husband/wife will be willing to go to bat for you the way this person's wife is.
