these people are overwhelmingly partisan, they were called out on it, both republicans and democrats, embarrassed publicly for their partisanship, and yet they don't change. it's theater, practically. i sincerely doubt that letting them just have time to "talk" would do much, they're not going to sway each other's opinions.
again, i have yet to be explained by anyone, how border security for a country is somehow a concession.
how is border security an inherently right-wing ideal, when the US is virtually the only country in the world where this is even an issue.

That's not the type of debate I'm talking about. I'm talking about floor time for immigration bills, amendments, up and down votes, etc to get a bill agreed to that can muster the 60 votes. Some of it needs to be done behind the scenes, but some of it needs to be done on the Senate and House floor.
