1. For Canada PR, your education and job (work experience) do not have to be related to each other. Only your work experience needs to be related to your NOC code ( a code that represents what occupation you are nominating from the skills list). On the other hand, when you nominate a skilled occupation for Australian PR, both your education and your work experience need to be related to each other and to your nominated skilled occupation.
2. Under express entry, Canada has a maximum time frame of 6 months for application processing for majority of the candidates whereas for Australia is ranges between 8–12 months.
3. Australia has a very small list of occupations to choose from. If you don’t have education and work experience in any of those occupations, you are not eligible to apply. If you wish to look beyond this list, you will need to go for state sponsorship, which under the current circumstances are also very limited and oblige you to commit to stay in the nominating state for two years. Canada on the other hand has a long list of occupations to nominate a skill from.
4. The cost of applying for PR is way cheaper for Canada.
