After endless drama with my PRK op and MEPS I was given the green light to schedule a new physical and get a ship date, hooah.

For those that shipped and are AR: when you went back to MEPS to get your new ship date and re-sign, did the contract start anew? Because most of us signed our contracts in 2016, meaning we've been technically serving that contract for 2 years, I'm wondering if the clock will reset? I don't mind the length of service but I'm looking at VA loans so I can buy a place of my own, and I'm crossing my fingers here hoping that I'm only looking at 3.5 years before I can buy my own place, because the requirement is that you are honorably discharged from AR, or serve active duty for 181 days. My MOS is very unlikely to be activated, so I'm looking at being discharged after 6 years AR before I can get a VA loan.
