Can confirm. It took my mom 18 months to complete her ROC. She had to get her conditional status extension at a field office, though. The automatic extensions didn't start happening until recently. By the time I apply in April 2019, I'm sure the time frame will be closer to 24 months. FML.



I've heard about people filing for citizenship while the ROC case is pending to expedite it. But doesn't it sound like the kind of workaround that USCIS will catch up to and eventually disallow?

To clarify, do you mean that you're allowed to submit the N-400 and I-751 at the same time?
