Sent mine in last Thursday, and the check was cashed yesterday. I don't expire until March 2020. A handful of 2020 renewals have sent their application in and have had their biometrics already.
They seem to approve people 5 months before expiration if the application is sent in early. Many who expire in March 2019 sent their applications in January/February 2018, and they are starting to be approved.
As Supreme Court will likely end DACA over the summer, it's hard to say what will happen to pending applications. But seeing as people sent in their applications over a 1 year early and were approved, the $500 gamble is worth it.
With Secretary Nielsen getting lots of flack from both sides, the elections in a couple weeks, Sessions possibly being fired after the elections, and Trump's antics, it's going to be an interesting few months ahead for DACA.
