Johann is partially correct. Mexican and Central American (primarily from the North Triangle aka Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala) migrants have the lowest rates of possessing a college degree. This is because they're closer to the USA and their less fortunate citizens can easily move to there illegally for better prospects and opportunities.



In contrast, South American migrants are left with no other option but to obtain a visa to come to the USA. That is why there are so many high skilled Argentine and Venezuelan migrants in the USA cause they're the ones that can afford to move here. Their less fortunate citizens usually end up illegally migrating to better nearby countries like Argentina and Chile.
