Medical exam is also a little expensive dependent on location. In addition, considering the current wait period for AOS you might have to do it twice if it was initially sent in.
Medical is valid for 12 months from when finished.You didn't mention what they said.

I did my medical exam back in August of 2017 and my interview will be in Janurary 2019. According to everything I've read on this forum, it seems as if I would need to go in for another exam prior to my interview. However, I stumbled upon the update linked below from USCIS regarding a change in that policy.
Are exams now considered valid for 2 years based on this update to that policy?
