The Dream Act and Dreamers in general have never been about privileges.

Greencards are the bridges to US Citizenship because you NEED a greencard if you have any plans of living in this country indefinitely.

That's what Dreamers have been asking for many years.

The chance to apply for a greencard and be granted permanent residency.

Any sort of scheme of permanently dealing with Dreamers will involve greencards.

Otherwise, we'll be nothing more than second class citizens.
