It was relevant in 2008, less relevant in 2010, even less relevant in 2012, and even less relevant today.
I'm not saying don't talk about it, but if that's the only thing you post ( something from 2008 ) and most importantly IGNORING more recent events that contradicts your claim, is not right. It is arguably exactly what you're saying, which is "things not cooperating with my political affiliaton shouldn't be taken into consideration ever."
Imagine the scenario where a person voted democrat in 2008 and voted republican ever election after that.
Person A says "because this person voted democrat in 2008, this person is still a democrat in 2019".
Would you be inclined to agree with person A? Would you claim person "A" is arguing in good faith? Would you say person A is taking consideration into events that doesn't cooperate with person A's political affiliation?
