We're out of a shutdown. Trump's only demand is wall for his wall. So why can't the Dems pass that sort of wall/daca bill (which they can with a majority power) and then push it down the throats of Trump and Mcconnell? Say "here is your wall money..you either take it or take the country to another shutdown". The next shutdown won't be Dems fault bc they actually worked to meet his demand.

Because trump wants to give the democrats back what he himself tried to end (DACA) in exchange for a wall. Think about it, why would you accept an offer ( a one as shitty as trumps proposal) that gives them back what they had before No Republican with power will be on board with the democrats if it’s them who start it first. Turtle man has made it very clear he won’t put anything up for voting if trump isn’t on board. Yes correct the general populace won’t immediately blame the democrats but trump and his crooks will ride along the train of swigging blame unto democrats with out actually willing to negotiate. Beside Trump himself already made it clear he’s gonna wait for the courts ruling on daca before he even considers it.
At this point it’s better for everyone but trump if the democrats don’t cave in. Daca isn’t going anywhere, no court wants to end it and the Supreme Court has decline to it for the NOw well until sometime this year at least We safety say daca is here to stay for at least 2021.
And to be honest I don’t think trump even wants a wall now, what will be his biggest focus for 2020 race?
