No offense but you're living in the past. Dems already did this. 25 billion wall for DACA. Do you remember who pulled out and tried to add "4 pillars" to the deal? It was not the democrats. The deal was rejected.
Why do you think an already rejected deal is the best solution?
He's also going to ask for more when SC rules in his favor. As I said before, he's going to want more and give less because he has more leverage. He's also got 2 hardline anti-immigrant in his staff now.
The fact is, Trump is probably going to ask for more after SC ruling and dems will straight up just say no or it's impossible (like removing birthright citizenship because you have to change the constitution). Trump will blame dems, dems will blame Trump, all politics and nothing gets done. I don't understand why Trump doesn't see that giving a good DACA deal and call dem's bluff is such a good move that he'd get latino votes either way but he hasn't done it yet. That means he's probably going hard on immigration for his re-election campaign with the way he's posturing so far.
The only way I see anything being done is that SC doesn't strike existing DACA and cancel EADs until after the election and pray that something gets done in 2021.
You have to remember, nothing got done when Trump gave congress 6 months to deal with DACA and nothing got done with Dems shut down the senate for 2 days for DACA. There have been many possible deals and none of them came through.
