Had a similar experience with USAA. They ask if the applicant has a GC, USC, or other visa on the app. You have to tell them what you have.. and when I did - they were like we don't sponsor.
Explained to them that I wouldn't need sponsoring and they said they didn't want employees with temporary visas and it creates retention problems - WHAT?
Funny thing.. I am a contractor with them right now and they are paying my contracting company over $300/hour for my time. Too bad I only see a tiny portion of that hourly pay but yeah... stupid!
