I just don’t see how a huge immigration bill is going to pass even if he were to have a slim majority. It would be a waste of time to work on an unrealistic immigration bill that has no chance of becoming law.
Sometimes it feels like democrats try to push for impossible immigration bills that have no chance just so they can say they tried and it’s all republicans fault. They should start with bringing Daca back to its original form and then work on a bill for dreamers that can get bipartisan support. Pushing for everything all at once on the first day while the tensions are still high is definitely not the right move.
