I wonder how having the AP would help in our cases, if given the horrible scenario that at the interview we are refused the visa and we are already in our countries. I they reject our case there, then the "ban" kicks in right? would having AP help us come back to the US at that point.

I just sent back response to my RFE by the way. God willing they will accept it. And does anyone know the waiting period for interview appointments in Guatemala., I have seen a facebook page that they were closed and have backed up a lot as well.
