It’s short-sighted and wears down on our institutions to overrule her. Imagine Republicans limiting or pushing immigration enforcement through reconciliation.
It’s also doesn’t make sense. We’re only having a discussion about potential legalization
because of the parliamentarian. She ruled that two reconciliation bills are allowed this year (the first was tied up with COVID relief). Why not ignore that ruling and just go with one?
