It's truly random and unjust. Yeah for some people it's straightforward like in the case of someone being born in say Canada with all the opportunity in the world and then they get hired by an American company and their already big opportunities become even bigger.

But then we have people like us Dreamers who have been here for decades in some cases (I was brought here in the 80's) and have basically nothing but then some Russian Bride who married a disgusting old guy they want nothing to do with comes here like a princess. I also live in a city with a large refugee population and see dozens of them at a certain bus stop every day. The women covered from head to toe in their islamic clothes and it's obvious they never want to assimilate but hey, they got their papers. Allah bless them I guess. I used to know a Mexican dude who was a complete loser but he managed to get a green card from the 1986 law even though he admitted to me later he shouldn't have qualified for it. What did he do with it? He had 3 DWIs and 3 child support payments.
