Citizens see this and think we are all given all this free stuff. I pay $15,000 in taxes every year. Probably closer to $20K from all the taxes, fees, surcharges just from daily life.

It wasn't a federal program that gave them this, but rather it was NYC with their right to shelter law. I said it was going to backfire tremendously back then when it started and here we are.

Simply put their asylum cases should've been heard at their nearest consulate and then if valid they can hop on a flight and come here. Facilitating the entry through mass parole was just going to encourage more people to attempt the exceptionally dangerous trek through the worst parts of LatAm.
