Border security has always been a major sticking point as they don't want a repeat of the dreamer population. Even the mega amnesty of the 80s was built upon total control of the border. Of course, that failed and the problem grew.
And seeing how much control Trump has exerted over the border in just two weeks makes me seriously doubt that democrats were truly genuinely interested in solving the issue. No wonder Schumer didn't want us to take the whole stage, because he knew it was just a waste of time to bring anything up. DA bill should've been tied to border security. Anything less is a waste of time. Staple that big win to anything and it would've passed easily.
