It’s actually changing for the other way around. I’m a software engineer and constantly see new hires with no degrees. I actually frown upon people who go for computer science degrees because it’s just a huge waste of debt , time , and outdated info (at least in the tech world where everything changes like every 3 months ).
Why do you think all these bootcamp classes , google certifications, udemy classes are making a killing

That’s why a lot of large tech companies (FAANG) are dropping degree requirement. They know you can learn those skills without 4 years of garbage (at least in tech world).
