You are quite forceful in your comments for someone that is NOT a lawyer. The better response would be to encourage them to contact a lawyer if they are unsure. DACA and future immigration benefit takes into account that most of us didn't do things "correctly" initially hence the reason why we don't qualify for normal immigration benefits. As a DACA recipient, you (or your parents) certainly didn't do things the proper way, therefore you're in no position to talk with such a condescending and judgements tone.

As far as the expiration of work permit thing, err on the side of caution and inform your employer. Solely based on cases I personally know about, purchasing a fake work permit will get you in trouble later, don't know about anything else.
