They’re require to physical look at your card. A good HR should take a look at categories and easily spot the C33 ( or is it 32) which they can google or something. Heck they can call uscis and verify what it is.
They can legally not hire you on the basis of your work card though. For example they can make up something this is a long term job that requires traveling outside the country ( which may not be true )
You’re only required to show your ead card. That’s your proof of work legality. They can ask if you need sponsorship which you decline. I think what everyone recommends is good enough
“I am authorized to work in the USA and do not require sponsorship”
