The Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has proposed a rule to expand its collection of biometrics to individuals applying for immigration benefits and other related processes.

The rule, published in the Federal Register Monday, would authorize the agency to collect data such as fingerprints, facial images and DNA from a wider range of individuals. USCIS said the proposal seeks to strengthen identity verification, prevent fraud, combat trafficking and enhance national security vetting.

What Biometric Data Does DHS Currently Collect?
Under current laws, USCIS collects a limited set of biometrics, primarily fingerprints and signatures, from certain applicants for immigration benefits or naturalization. The data are used to verify identities, conduct background checks and support law-enforcement screening.

Collection is typically required for individuals 14 years of age and older.

What New Requirements Are Under Consideration?
Under the proposed rule, USCIS would expand biometrics collection in cases of “alien arrest or encounter” and require anyone associated with a benefit application or information collection to submit biometric data, regardless of age.

If passed, the rule would apply to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals and lawful permanent residents.

In addition, the document provides a broader definition of the term biometrics as measurable biological or behavioral characteristics. It covers facial and ocular imagery, finger and palm prints, handwritten signature, voice, and DNA.

The proposal is open to public comments until Jan. 2, 2026.

No one seems to be talking about this and it is not getting much coverage. The attorney I follow made a video on this and I wanted to spread the word.

In unrelated news, for certain reasons and for certain Mexicans the Mexican government collects fingerprints digitally and they take an ocular iris scan.

This is all part of the global centralized push towards digital ID. If you thought you could escape THE MACHINE you can't and you won't.

And when the government gets breached unintentionally or not, you're gonna get denied for health insurance because of pre-existing condition of your DNA pointing to high rates of a condition. And if you don't give them your DNA they can still figure out a lot of it by relatives cousins fathers etc so they implicitly also have yours.

Then they'll upload it into the criminal databases and use it to search for long gone criminals and try to secure a dodgy conviction. The more tech advances the more dubious the cases get. Its really insane but this is our world.

Something like 99% of the comments on the feral register are disapproving of this and I only found one comment in support that reads like someone had a stroke halfway through writing it. Weird for a college student. Or maybe kids these days really are so illiterate.


Speaking of school, I felt like a lot of the time they were just punching the clock and wasting everyones time and the kids there too were retarded basically because they couldn't focus. I actually learned more outside of public school, in college, than the entirety of public schooling.
