House approves short-term spending bill, Senate must approve before midnight Friday to avoid shutdown.

The House approved a spending bill Thursday that will fund federal agencies at current levels for another two weeks as lawmakers scramble to avoid a government shutdown on Friday.

The short-term measure, approved by a vote of 235-193, is designed to keep the government open through Dec. 22 while lawmakers try to work out an agreement on military spending, immigration and other issues.

This can mean a lot of things such as they agreed to compromise on a DACA fix and need that extra two weeks to come up with a plan or both sides are playing games and don’t want to reach any agreement and this is just a waste of time .

There is no DACA-fix. Stop calling it a DACA fix. It's the DREAM Act.

Anyway, let's let the gov shut down. It won't hurt me anyway, been screwed too many times by Washington. Let the gov shut down, so Republicans can feel some pain.

whoa.. calm down a bit.
just because you aren't getting hurt, doesn't mean others aren't getting hurt either.
no one screwed us over, it was really our parents that screwed us over.
we failed to follow the rules and regulations and that's how we ended up here.

also, this type of extreme mentality should be reconsidered because it's not going to get you any where in life Mr. Xie.

If the government and politicians were committed to do their jobs, we wouldn't even be talking about DA today. No one would be crying over a hurricane relief. These people really don't care much - I cannot understand how a human being cannot care for the mass.

The only way we will wake everyone up is to prove to people a shutdown is a big deal, and that their congressmen and congresswomen are not doing what is best for American people.

Their tax plan is totally a disaster, yet, we have people support that bill without realizing their taxes will go up and will receive fewer benefits from tax cut in the upcoming years. The President is a lunatic with a personality disorder. The WH is full of people who have betrayed this country and had worked with Russian so they "Americans" could run the country with a fake "pride". Republicans knew Trump and the team did the dirty trade with the Russians, yet, they pretended they didn't know.

1. Were you born yesterday? I do not think so. So you already know the answer to your concerns regarding 'how a human being cannot care for the mass'... Don't be naive. This world isn't that friendly.

2. Who do we need to wake up? Life moves on for everyone regardless of Dream Act or not. My colleague sitting next to me, countless friends from different States, their family, Schumer's, Pelosi's, Christies.. will all move forward regardless of DA. No one needs to wake up. We are on our own, with some support from politicians. We think Dream Act is best for American people but this is our opinions only.

3. Tax plan will benefit some, and it will not benefit some. It all depends on how and who looks at it. Anyway, I'm not sure why you brought this up since this has nothing to do with DA.
Just because you're following heavy on DA issue failing to recognize the past history of politics that doesn't mean these types of stuff didn't' happen in the past and again, I'm not sure what this has to do with what we were talking about.
