Trying to stay optimistic here. Let’s hope they don’t vote with them last minute.

Some members of the far-right group want promises from leadership to put a conservative immigration bill authored by House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) on the House floor.

Other Freedom Caucus members want Congress to fund the Pentagon at higher levels for the rest of the 2018 fiscal year and pass a short-term CR for the rest of the government -- a sentiment shared by some defense hawks.

Yeah again “promise”. The same shit with tax reform. Dem! Learn how GOP negotiate with one another!

You know....
Whatever the Republican leadership does will be a lose-lose situation for them.
They do have to cater to Democrats' demands for the long-term spending bill eventually. They cannot pass a long-term spending bill without Democrats. Otherwise, they have to do this monthly thing for the rest of the year, which is impossible. But, what is maddening about Republicans is that it is "my way or highway". They just demand what they want and refuse to accept Democrats' demands. But, they can go only so far.

Yes. Their tactics is actually filibuster in reverse. R is waiting to see who eventually give in. Obviously R shares pressure, but to the D this election year is their chance! Trump becomes D’s political ammunition! But if D not careful, D can lose the swing voters and some of the conservatives voters who recongize the incompetenccy of Trump. D faces more pressure than R!

D can’t hold any longer.
