I guess this sorta confirms that Dream won't be brought up separately from the whole immigration debacle. I was hoping that it wouldn't get sucked in with CIR, but as few sources already have said, it probably won't come up for a vote until later in the year along with CIR.

I thought i heard him say that any immigration reform debate must begin with the dream act.

We need to make sure that when the issue of immigration comes before us and it will, that the DREAM Act is the first item of business. We need justice for the young people in this country who want to give back to America.
It is up to us to force this issue before it gets entangled with the whole CIR debate.

^The impression I got was that the "issue of immigration" won't come to the floor (through various statements from his staff, etc.) until later this year, and that's when Dream will be discussed prior to CIR.

Hopefully that's not the case though, it'd be great to see some action before August recess.

they should just go for the dream act first.

idk but i just think that putting CIR would make it harder to pass specially now that the economy is bad. atleast with us people can see that we are going for the higher end jobs, not just the regular jobs that most of other america is also pursuing.
