Several Senate Democratic aides insisted that getting any immigration bill through Congress this year would be almost impossible -- but a senior spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told FOX News Reid wants a bill on the Senate floor in September.

Knowing Fox News, the "Senate Democratic aides" that Fox interviewed probably come from Tester or Dorgan's office. Majority Leader Reid wants to pass CIR or some sort of immigration legislation because he's up for re-election in Nevada and wants to make the Hispanic vote happy or at least satisfied for the time being.

And certain segments of labor such as the service industry based SEIU like CIR . Other labor groups might like CIR if it doesn't include a big guest worker program which ILW is saying is not included in the House version.

Man, sometimes many of you guys' arrogance gets on my nerves. Instead of trying put anyone down for their grammar mistakes, wouldn't it be better to write an constructive comment and guide them instead of acting all "educated". Or maybe if you actually took your time and try to read what he is trying to say. not everyone here has a Masters and not everyone here has had much success with school. (including myself), however that does not mean you guys have to act up every time someone here makes a stupid grammar mistake. Just my honest opinion. Night everyone.

Shitty grammar aside, even the logic behind what he said makes no sense; "The congress will not push for immigration reform, regardless of Obama winning the election"

It's not arrogance, when criticizing someone who's been on the boards as long as he has, to take the extra 5 minutes to proof read his post. I don't see how that's asking for too much.

What gets on MY nerves, is people flipping out saying 'oh my god the world is ending' every time there's a hint of bad news. CIR_Dream2009 already explained the speculation behind this article above, so no need to guide anyone there.

You don't need a university education to properly write a sentence.

Don't trust foxnews. They wrote an article against the DREAM ACT just last week. Maybe they should be banned from this forums, and it is not because of the difference of opinion, it is because they will keep pushing for their far right conservative agenda.

I bet they change their term "Illegal Alien" for "undocumented worker" to get more swing readers

About fox CEO:

In recent years, Australian-born billionaire Rupert Murdoch has used the U.S. government's increasingly lax media regulations to consolidate his hold over the media and wider political debate in America. Consider Murdoch's empire: According to Businessweek, "his satellites deliver TV programs in five continents, all but dominating Britain, Italy, and wide swaths of Asia and the Middle East. He publishes 175 newspapers, including the New York Post and The Times of London. In the U.S., he owns the Twentieth Century Fox Studio, Fox Network, and 35 TV stations that reach more than 40% of the country...His cable channels include fast-growing Fox News, and 19 regional sports channels. In all, as many as one in five American homes at any given time will be tuned into a show News Corp. either produced or delivered." But who is the real Rupert Murdoch? As this report shows, he is a far-right partisan who has used his empire explicitly to pull American political debate to the right. He is also an enabler of the oppressive tactics employed by dictatorial regimes, and a man who admits to having hidden money in tax havens. In short, there more to Rupert Murdoch than meets the eye.

In 2003, Rupert Murdoch told a congressional panel that his use of "political influence in our newspapers or television" is "nonsense." But a close look at the record shows Murdoch has imparted his far-right agenda throughout his media empire.

His newspaper also accused of racism
