There is an update from Rotor.com on immigration reform here.
Quote:
HAI has learned an immigration summit has been scheduled for next week between administration officials and lawmakers, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, said today in Washington work on immigration legislation would begin as soon as healthcare reform and energy legislation are addressed.

Immigration reform advocates have vowed to continue their push for legislation to overhaul the immigration system, and they say President Obama promised as a presidential candidate to advance immigration reform legislation this year and they intend to hold him to that pledge.

A coalition of immigration reform advocates say they expect comprehensive immigration reform legislation to be introduced in Congress this fall and enacted by February. The coalition has drafted broad principles for what should be addressed through legislation. Those principles include the creation of a national independent commission to determine short-term and long-term guest worker provisions, and the creation of a process under which an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants can be given legal status and ultimately a path to citizenship.

but when it comes it sure is sweet.
i think our suffering is relative.

african americans had it far worse for far longer than we did. all we can do is push congress and go out there and get the word out.

like i said before our day will come and we will be very happy, well beyond happy. lets stay strong.

Wow, a timetable in the House! So that makes immigration the third priority behind health care and energy according to the Speaker.

It looks like the House is set to tackle both energy and health care during the summer. That will set immigration legislation nicely for the fall in the House if they can get through those two bills during the summer.

In the Senate, their major focus is health care for the summer leaving energy slated probably for early fall right after the August recess. Immigration could then be picked up right after because of Senator Reid's indications that immigration will be discussed in the fall.

So does that mean the House will first tackle immigration reform? I'll have to plug my Senate Agenda thread if anyone wants more information on upcoming agenda items.
