This is an interesting thing.
Cornyn is by no means an ally as the article suggests:

Quote:
But he does favor a new guest/temporary worker program of some sort, to ease unlawful border crossings. Poor foreigners want jobs; U.S. employers want labor.
Yet he has THIS to say about the anti-immigration groups:

Quote:
"Unfortunately you see groups like that that basically are more interested in using money by using fear tactics rather than they are in talking about a subject in a rational and intelligent way," Cornyn said, when asked about the NumbersUSA email. "I do oppose amnesty, because I think my constituents in Texas oppose amnesty overwhelmingly. But that's not to say that there can't be some practical solution that falls short of amnesty that allows us to improve the status quo."

The thing is, CIR and DA are not amnesties. They are ways to legalize deserving immigrants who have been waiting for path to residency for years. Stop calling it amnesty, it doesn't help us.

NumbersUSA is an ignorant, racist, hateful website that is a complete waste of server's memory.

NumbersUSA is part of the neo-nazi-funded groups created by white supremacist John Tanton.

I wrote about it here.
