Sens. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Lindsey Graham’s (R-S.C.) meeting with President Barack Obama to give an update on their efforts to advance bipartisan immigration reform legislation will take place on Thursday.

The meeting is set for 3 p.m., according to a White House aide. Obama was supposed to meet with the Senators on Monday, but the meeting was postponed after Graham’s flight was canceled.

The president has vowed to pass comprehensive immigration reform, but the issue stalled as health care reform has dominated the Congressional agenda. For now, Schumer and Graham are reportedly drafting a pared-down proposal focused on the creation of a national biometric identification card that would be required for all American workers.

I really just want DA to pass already! I feel if some other form of amnesty passes it may not qualify all of us.. or even worse take forever to help us legalize..

Thursday sounds decent. I have a feeling they want this meeting done before march 21.

If they are willing to make deals, then we might win. If not, next year. Senator Obama wasn't wiling to make a deal back in 2007. Let's hope that is he wiser so we won't have to wait for another three years.
