This comes out of left field,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), after hearing that Democratic leaders may now push immigration reform ahead of a climate bill. “I’m working as earnestly as I can to craft climate and energy independence, clean air and jobs, and now we’re being told that we’re going to immigration. We haven’t done anything to prepare the body of the country for immigration.”

Graham expressed frustration that the Senate would be wasting its time

Quote:
Still, Graham continues to work with Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) on an immigration reform bill. He has insisted that getting big business on board for energy legislation is crucial to the bill’s success, but that on immigration, the business and labor communities were too divided over a temporary worker provision.

“I’m hopeful that me and him can put something together that other people would be excited to do it now,” he said. “We’re supposed to role this [climate] thing out Monday. What am I supposed to do, write an immigration bill between now and Monday with Chuck?”

What the hell, Mr. Graham? You put your head on the line for immigration now when the time is almost up, you're acting like a little brat? I can't believe this shit

I don't necessarily agree with him, but I think he's just being sincere.

Hasn't he been working on an immigration bill with Chuck for almost a year? You would think that it would have been written between now and last September.

I hope Senator Graham doesn't pull a McCain and betray us too.

"What am I supposed to do, write an immigration bill between and Monday with Chuck?"

Huh? Have they done nothing to craft a bill? What the hell have they been doing?

WTF is Graham talking about. Are the Senators that oblivious to whats going on out there? Arizona and its disgusting law are basically handing us the podium to start the debate. WTF was Graham and chuck doing all this fucking time while they were talking about working together on immigration? Is he telling us they havent done shit in these passed months? He doesn't have any idea of what to put on a bill for us? I can write up a 1,800 pages bill from now till tomorrow morning with great ideas that don't all even need to be implemented and this jerk off is saying he can't take a weekend to work hard for America?

At the very least, copy and paste the one thats already on the House archive attracting dust.

He acts like the debate is going to start monday or something, perhaps thats some sort of trick to makes us think its coming real soon. Maybe they're smarter than we even think to give credit for. But regardless the case, it appears that the finacial bill is hitting a bumpy road and the GOP might try to stall it, like they have been stalling every other fucking thing.

This is all bull anyway. An immigration bill is not rocket science. They can reuse a lot of what they had before the last go around.

I think he has a screw loose.
