Sen. Dick Durbin's latest statement on the dream act

How bad does Durbin really want to pass the dream act? It seems to me that he is refusing to separate the dream act from a comprehensive bill. I know it's good to be honest and all, but he didn't have to throw cold water on our push to pass the dream act this summer.

That is exactly what he is doing. It's sad that in the end we may get nothing (no CIR and nothing else) when DREAM had such a good chance at passing.

Durbin is such a fucking asshole playing us like fools, first he's asking us to send in our stories and now he's talking shit about "very unlikely" I think it's time for a sit-in in Durbin's office!!

If it's very unlikely, then we got to push next week for what is "little likely."

it might not be this summer, but Durbin will get it done. just be patient and don't lose hope.

Dick Dubin no longer counts for DA passage. And why exactly should we accept this? He's proved ineffective in its passage before; we have no reason to believe that he will fight for it later. I never thought I'd say this, let alone print it: Go to hell Sen. Durbin.

More and more back-stabbing Democrats coming out against fixing immigration, I see. Look at the News thread today! Dems complain to Obama about bringing up immigration; Dems fear immigration; Dems don't know where is up or where is down, etc. Well, you know what? We don't care what you say Dick Durbin. If you don't support us, we're are left the way we are now, so in the end you are irrelevant.

Moving on to whomever WILL support DA. And we shouldn't care if that means REPUBLICANS. Keep it up, time to update my list.
