Well i got a letter from them saying that they want a proof of legal status, as most people here i got nothing. I've been living in new york for past 6 years, my family pays taxes. So what am I supposed to give them? (ill talk to my college advisor tomorrow, she knows im undocumented). I know that NY gives instate tuition to people like me, im just wondering what paper am i supposed to give to the stupid college

Well if you have been living here for the past six years chances are that you went to high school here. If that's the case just show them your high school diploma, they'll give you a form to fill out and notarize and then you're good. I had to do the same thing to receive instate tuition.

You need to fill out a proof of residency form. You will need to submit a proof that you went to HS in NY, and that you or your parents pay taxes in the state.
