In a poll conducted for 8 News NOW and the Review-Journal, Nevadans were asked to weigh in on whether they support the Dream Act. The poll showed 46 percent supported it while 45 were opposed to it. But some Hispanic leaders, and those the bill would benefit, believe it's necessary.

Every single poll being released shows support for the dream act.

Random poll by a local news station. Irrelevant. I mean, I highly doubt it's scientific or that it reflects a true referendum on what the people of Nevada think.

I doubt its a very good representation, depending on the kind of news they report they might cater to a more conservative audience.

How about Rassmussen? They showed positive support for DA. And they definitely lean conservative.

Recent polls disprove the whole" majority of voters are against the dream act"
claim the right wing extremists love to make.

Funny how right wing extremists use an outdated 2007 rasmussen poll yet ignore the newest one that shows 52% of voters are for Dream. When calling senators, make sure to let them know about these polls; that support from dream ranges anywhere from 52 to 78%, and that opposition to dream is only a mere 36%.

"Overall, most voters (55%) say that making it possible for children of illegal immigrants to gain citizenship by attending college will encourage more illegal immigration. "

*Support would probably be even higher if it came form a non biased source.

Another poll showing 70% of Americans support the dream act:
