Sarah Palin is visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island today on the latest stops of her bus tour of historical sites.

After sharing pizza and talking international trade with Donald Trump, Palin is now going to focus on immigration. The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee told reporters this morning that she's looking forward to visiting Ellis Island, the gateway for millions of newcomers to the USA, to highlight the "work ethic" and "love of country and freedom" of immigrants.

But she drew the line at supporting the DREAM Act, which would create a path to citizenship for some children who were illegally brought to the USA if they get an education or serve in the military.

"The immigrants of the past, they had to literally and figuratively stand in line to become U.S. citizens. I'd like to see that continue," Palin said, according to Politico. "And unfortunately, the DREAM Act kind of usurps that."

On her Sarah PAC website, Palin writes that she "enjoyed some great NY pizza" Tuesday night with Trump and his wife, Melania, "in a nice quiet setting, Times Square."

Trump, who flirted with but abandoned a presidential bid, told reporters that Palin is a "great woman" and that he'd "love her to run" for the White House in 2012.

As for her political aspirations, Palin would only say that she and Trump think a competitive GOP primary would be good.

Meanwhile, back in Alaska, the state is getting ready to release more than 24,000 pages of e-mails from Palin's tenure as governor. News organizations such as the Associated Press and individuals who requested them during the 2008 presidential campaign will receive them.

SARAH PALIN!

Well, we will have to wait in line figuratively and literally if the DREAM Act passes so....

It's not amnesty! We'll have to be working our asses off getting our degrees or working in the military on top of all the fines and fees we'll have to pay.

The problem is that she is one of the top contenders for the GOP nomination. What has this world come to?

The hell with this lady. She hates us because we can count to ten--something she cannot do.
