This is MUSIC TO MY EARS. Hatch didn't vote YAY in December 2010. I'm praying he gets voted out for good.

As much of a jerk he was, he still truly does support the bill though and if the climate changes he certainly would vote for it. He's from Utah though, so his challenger could easily be a tea party like republican zealot.

Another reason why Democrats should just support Rubio's Dream Act. The current Dream Act won't pass the senate let alone the house any time soon!

That's the thing though, even the Rubio dream act could barely pass the house, all the dems need to do is vote no along with the tea partiers and still point to republican obstruction and champion the original special path the DA sets out. The dream act saga will not be completed by the rubio bill.

Then republicans can point out the democrats obstructionism right? This is where Obama needs to be called out!! He needs to ensure enough dems vote for it to pass. Something is better than nothing for another 4-8 years IMO. Dems can always vote on the original dream act bill IF they get the majority in the future. Obama has always said he can't do the dream act by just using his executive authority? Well this is a PERFECT way for him to help dream eligible students gain some sort of legal status.

True, they could point to Dem obstructionism but it would look pretty weak if over a half of there party shoots down the bill too. Demint in the senate has already vetoed the bill and he's supposed to be one of the more "moderate" republican senator As for Obama, he's just content with speaking now. Immigration has never been one of his passions and he's rather uninterested in it in terms of policy or fire. He leaves immigration matters to Reid and Durbin. The man will do nothing for us this year besides play down the Repubs. Maybe in 2013 things might change.. As for his executive order he so could do it and it would look horrible for any repub president to even shut down that particular order, they would alienate hispanics for over fifty years with such an action.

This is Hatch's last election, that is what I heard.

Hatch is the reason Dream Act exist though along with Durbin.

As much as I don't like Hatch, I think Hatch will vote yes on Rubio's bill so we should keep him.

Demint has never been and will never come close to being called a moderate. He is the face of the tea party in the senate!! It is not surprising that he will oppose any type of bill aimed at helping illegal immigrant.
