I was surprised when they rescheduled the call for today, especially since we are supposed to get information on Aug 1st. Though it is strange for them to cancel it again.

I can just imagine the frustration if they don't give out an update on Aug. 1.

I get the feeling there are some gray areas that they certainly don't have answers for concerning implementing the regulations.Wouldn't be surpised if they even held back on Aug. 1st as well.

This is the real USCIS I was talking about.

Instead of being so panicky, did anyone consider the fact that they may have decided to hold off any conference calls until the guidelines are released on Aug 1st? In my opinion, it'd make more sense for people to have concrete/written guidelines to review first and then ask follow-up questions at such calls, if necessary.

Why do you seem somewhat pleased in promulgating your pessimism? We get that you already have your work permit and really have nothing to worry about, but this process is completely different and to date USCIS has not broken their promise to release an application on August 15th. It is highly unlikely that the process will take up to a year as you mentioned in a previous post.

I fully understand this is a government agency prone to plodding but I too have plenty of experience with immigration procedures and timelines and to be quite frank, my family's dealings with them have never been delayed or postponed.

Napolitano said more details will be given August 1st. That is next week Wednesday. 2 weeks after that the form will be available.

According to the leaked information, the projected fee is $465 and we will be allowed to file for both deferred action and employment authorization simultaneously come August 15th.

It is very easy to see how one or more of the participants in the conference call is unable to participate as the first conference call was held by the directors of ICE, USCIS and border patrol. These people are important and have busy schedules...

Ease up on the worry and fear mongering. We're all still illegal.

I know everybody is trying to stay upbeat and want this process to start, but its becoming obvious that the finishing touches are not on this process just yet and all systems are not go. There is no other conclusion to draw but that, this is the second time now.
