According to this article, DACA recipient from Arizona, Nebraska, and Texas will not be able to receive driver's license.
However, this article specifically talks about how DACA applicants in Georgia is able to receive Driver's License.

Quote:
Governors in Nebraska and Texas have already followed Brewer's lead.
Quote:
Even in some states that have passed strong anti-illegal immigration laws, such as Georgia, driver's licenses may be available to undocumented immigrants who qualify under the new policy.
Under current Georgia law, people with deferred status can get a license, and that's what the state will do unless it gets different orders, said Susan Sports, spokeswoman for the state's Department of Driver Services.

Pretty sure Connecticut wouldn't pass such a dumbass rule. We just got approved for in state tuition few months ago. Keep fighting dreamers from those states!

This is truly phucked up brahs, They provided us a "legal" way and we took advantage and paid our debts. Yet they still want to oppress the newly "legalized illegals". This is just plain absurd and hateful.

I dont understand how we will not be able to apply for DLs. Once we have our work permit, we can LEGALLY work. How the hell are you ought to get work without US govt ID/DL.. most places ask for two or more identification docs.

They still need to clarify because as it stands, DACA applicants can't apply for a DL in that state.

I really don't understand why states are denying driver licenses. If we get a work permit and we start working, then that means we're working legally AND paying taxes. So..why the hell shouldn't we be able to get a license?

Why is it do different rules apply for DACA to get a DL? All they should be worried about - we are working legally, DHS knows we are here, and have documents to prove it!

SERIOUSLY! These news are killing all the excitement.

Oh and if we just go in with out EAD Card, how will they know we are DACA beneficiers? As of right now, most states allow you to get a DL with work permits.

Those states really have it backwards, don't they realize that a new wave of people applying for licenses and IDs and purchasing vehicles will be a BOOST to the state's economy? Hey, if they don't want Dreamers' business, I'm sure other states would be glad to accept money fron Dreamers and improve their state's economy.
