Just as a cautionary word... I mean it's good to be somewhat excited but keep in mind that this is a tripartite process...

Just like in many fairytales, there are three tasks that need to be done first...

First is the passing of the cloture motion, votes required: 60.

Then debate begins! In this debate Senators have the ability to attach amendments. Here is where Sessions might fulfill his promise to attach as many amendments as he wants (i.e. the filibuster monster).

Then a second vote to cut off debate is needed.

Finally, the third vote, to pass it on by a majority... not sure if it has to be 60 as well...

I believe the final vote needs only to be 51. I may be wrong but it's irrelevant anyway since we need 60 for the other two.
