All nine are now out of detention and free to pursue their individual asylum cases. By the way, my friends didn't risk their lives and safety for stinking papeles: it was to make public the inhumanity of separating families for decades, and the brutality of for profit detention. Those places make money off the suffering of detainees. It used to be called slavery back in the day.

bullshit. that's all i'm saying. Kind of makes you wonder about all those people who've been deported past years, they too should be given the opportunity to return.

Power to the people!

Power to the people, power to the people
Power to the people, power to the people

Power to the people, power to the people
Power to the people, power to the people, right on

You say we want a revolution
We better get on right away
Well, you get on your feet
And enter the street

If you are deported than you are deported! simple as that! These people shouldn't had been granted permission to come back after leaving! This just put more crap in the mouths of republicans by saying we are breaking the rules and obama is granting everyone citizenship.

More of this? You can keep on posting it, but I'll keep on saying they're not heroes and only hurting the cause in favor of self-interest. Look at the comments and how many hearts and minds they've changed.

Once you're deported, you're out of the game. The game is to not get deported until the laws are changed or you find another way to get legal.

The title of this thread and the op piece is nothing more than an overgross exaggeration. They didn't risk their lives; soldiers risk their lives in Afghanstan.

They risked nothing but had everything to gain if they could get admitted back into the U.S. The attempted return was planned under legal guidance and they achieved it. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't think the slavery comparison is improper. I've done research on slavery and it terrifies me how parallel our lives are to those who were artisans.
