Chances of parent getting deported for getting a ticket?

One of my parents, who is illegal, got a ticket for driving without a license. It was a crash where the officer could not determine who was at fault, the other woman lied about having a green light, and concluded that no one was at fault. Since my father did not have a license, the officer gave him a ticket for driving without a license. This is the third time in the last 7 years, first one in 5 years. I live in Virginia, and I wanted to know what are the chances that they could get deported? I am very scarred for what will happen. One of my dad's work colleague recently got deported for having 2 or 3 DUI's, a month after his court date. Another one got his 2nd DUI in the last 6 years, but he did not get deported. I know that the lower court has ruled against Obama's executive order, but is that ruling suspended until the Supreme Court hears it this Summer? Could this affect my father? I am sorry, I am just really scared for what could happen.

DUI are serious offenses so I can see how they would be reported to ICE. It all depends if the police department decides to do that with your dad. At this point having no licenses doesn't mean he's here illegally. As far as the cops know they could forward it to ice. I would not panic and it doesn't seem like a huge offense if no one was at fault. Your dad just got a ticket that is it. He should be fine

She said that they once asked if she could obtain a driver license, which she said no, but nothing happened. This was the time that they were also deporting a lot of people here. Which was 5 years ago.

ICE has focused on criminals and releasing those with no criminal records. It's part of their prioritizing those who pose a threat to society and not focusing on Mom and Pop. Your dad won't be deported. He'll get the ticket go to court and pay the fine.

DUIs are serious offenses. Those who drink and drive are dangers to the public. Those are the people ICE are focusing on deporting

If he was already given a ticket once, these things just dont get forgotten, it will come again and be punished harshly for a repetitive offense. You should look into that as every state is different

I am not sure where you are located but you can get deported for serious crimes. Driving without a license isnt considered a big crime. I have like 5 driving without a license tickets lol but that's over here in California. I wouldn't worry too much about it I am sure they'll just give him a fine.
