Advance parole translation help

i am currently getting ready to submit my advance parole application. i have translated and notorised my birth certificate and doctor's note from french to english. i also have an affidavit stating that "i have translated the document to the best of my knowledge ect...
Just wanted to ask if that would suffice or do i actually have to get a certified translator to translate the birth cert and doctor documents.
anybody got an advance parole doc approved though they did their own translation?

I had my dad translate my docs for DACA. They approved me. It shouldn't be a problem

I did my own translation for DACA. Is this translation a new thing for AP? I don't recall doing one for AP. Are you sure this is for AP?

If I recall correctly, I had it notarized to just prove that I was the one that signed it.

Everything went well for my application back in the day.

When I applied for the first AP, I did the whole translation thing for both myself and my sister and got them notarized as well. My sister's application did not have any problem since her documents were translated by me. On the other hand, I received a RFE stating that the applicant's own translation of her/his document is not accepted. As a result I had to have someone else do it for me. It did delay my application process by a week or two.

Now I see that others' application did not induce the same problem, so I guess it all depends on the person who takes your packet.

Redqueen, for AP, a translation of what? Didn't you submit this when you apply for DACA? Why the redundancy? Is it a new requirement?

I was referring to the doctor's note and proof of family relationship which I had to submit along with the AP application. I don't think any of the documents was in need of translation for the DACA itself.

Thank you responding guys. i ended up translating the documents by myself. i attached an affidavit stating that i "certified that i translated the documents to the best of my knowledge" i also got it notarized . Keeping my fingers crossed ...
