One senior congressional Republican official said several provisions would definitely need additional sign-off from Capitol Hill — such as completing the wall, expanding immigrant detention facilities, and bolstering border patrol personnel. Such major reinforcements in border security, without the promise of a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants, are almost sure to attract little support from Democrats.

“He might be able to move some money around, but this is an expensive grocery list,” the GOP official said. “Can’t buy it all with cash in hand.”

I hope Trump's Supreme justice judge will be towards center right.

Democrats need to use the same tactics that Abbott used against DAPA and extended DACA - find a liberal court, put injunction on it, tie it up int he courts for a few years until congress is more friendly.

I see we are starting to agree on a course of action.

- Like I mentioned I many times, An independent court system and good Democrat minority is the way to go. It places places checks and balances on any possible Republican over reach. Again, there is a bureaucracy for a reason, the founding fathers were indeed quite smart

- California is ahead of the game. They knew this was coming, hired a former attorney general(Holder) that can represent them in the federal system. I can definitely see appeals coming from the Sessions Justice system through Federal court and the 9th Court of Appeals, but will likely loose both...until it gets to the Supreme court. I think this is why Trump wants to lay the foundation by getting a Justice into the court ASAP. He is definitely being guided by someone who knows the system well, Sessions very likely. The only question is what argument will California use for court
